We are thrilled to announce a significant addition to the Symbe team. Oliver MacCarthy, a visionary digital product designer, has joined us as Head of Product Design. With a rich depth of experience spanning 15 years, Oliver stands at the forefront of design innovation and category defining product adoption.

His journey in the digital design landscape has been both profound and influential. Oliver’s tenure at Essence Digital (now EssenceMediacom) saw him build intuitive product experiences for world leading brands like Google. Following this, he co-founded Tictrac alongside Symbe’s co-founder Martin Blinder. As the lead for Product Design at Tictrac, which was acquired by Dialogue in 2022, Oliver demonstrated an exceptional ability to drive behavioural change, blending intuitive design with practical functionality.

Oliver brings to Symbe a wealth of experience, along with a unique set of skills that are set to redefine our approach to product design. He views what we are building as a behavioural design challenge and will bring his extensive experience in understanding and influencing human behaviour to unblock new purchasing behaviour, helping companies to make purchasing decisions based on real and meaningful value.

And he’s already started to have an impact: combining the calculating automation of spreadsheets with the compelling storytelling of presentations, leaving one customer saying ‘Wow, that’s truly magical”. With Oliver leading product design, we are poised to embark on a journey that promises to make Symbe a truly category defining company.
